Ever since Fixer Upper began on HGTV, I have been a huge fan. Chip and Joanna Gaines captured the hearts of millions with their great personality and amazing house flipping skills. Millions of Fixer Upper fans have rushed to Magnolia to experience the Gaines’ amazing creations, and of course I wanted to experience it too. My mom, grandmother, aunt and I took a trip to Waco to experience Magnolia for ourselves. So, here are my tips on how to make the most of your Magnolia Market experience.

Start off with a Waco Tour

Okay, okay I know what you are thinking... doing a Waco tour has nothing to do with Magnolia Market or Fixer Upper, but this is an amazing way to begin your Waco experience! Waco Tours shows you all of the ins and outs of Waco. Not only do you get to hear about the beginning of Magnolia and see houses that were flipped by Chip and Joanna on Fixer Upper, you also get to hear about the history of Waco and get to experience the show in a whole new way. 10/10 HIGHLY recommend doing a tour - the guides were amazing and the entire experience incredible, can not recommend it enough. They also give you a coupon book for places around Waco, saving money is music to my ears!!

Waco tours has the best tour guides - thanks for a great tour Zach and Ben!

The Silos, obviously

Isn’t this what you’re here for?? Chip and Joanna did an amazing job of creating an experience for people. The Silos offer so many exciting things, Magnolia Market is just a small part of it. The store is going to be incredible busy so be aware and expect crowds. After you’ve bought all your goodies in the store (and trust me its going to be a lot - if you’re flying bring an extra suitcase or bag), head over to the food trucks to get some tasty goodies. Since it was spring the Magnolia Table food truck offered the yummiest lemon lavender donut holes, so good!! We got grilled cheese from the Cheddar Box and (best of all) sweet tea from the Alabama Sweet Tea Company which included the most adorable mason jar cup, OH MY!

Oh, and don't forget to take lots of pics!

Little Shop on Bosque

If you’ve read Magnolia Story or you are familiar with the show, you know that Joanna first began Magnolia in a little shop on Bosque. Now, this store is home to the discounted items (hello saving money)!! Not only do you get to save money on cute stuff, you also get to see where Magnolia began and get to appreciate how the company has grown.

The Little Shop on Bosque

Go See Jimmy Don

If you are a big Fixer Upper fan you know who Jimmy Don is; he is featured many times and creates the amazing metal wall decor seen on the show. Jimmy Don stands outside his shop and greets everyone who stop by. Definitely recommend stopping by his shop to snap a picture with Jimmy Don and to check out some of his designs!

Lavery’s Antique Furnishings

You know how Joanna always has THE BEST decor for all the Fixer Upper houses?! Well, we found the antique store featured several times on the show and where the Gaines’ get their super cute decor. The shop is super cute and has so many neat items; however, the store is only open at certain times so check out their Facebook to see if they’re open on your trip to Waco.

Magnolia Table

Yum yum in the tum tum! Thank you Chip and Jo for giving us the best dining experience. The food was absolutely amazing and the grits were to die for. Definitely recommend going to Magnolia Table if you have time - super cute place and super yummy food!

Grab your girls and head to Waco for the ultimate Fixer Upper experience!
